Keeping up the pace

Welcome to February, some of us felt that January dragged on a little, especially when it came to pay-day at the end of the month, but we've moved on and now it's a month of romance and proposals. It's also the time that many people give up their good resolutions when it comes to health, maybe they don't enjoy it, maybe they thought that joining a gym would transform them over night, maybe some feel that they couldn't afford to keep up the routine.

To save us from slumping into a depression, the Mammoth Supplements team have put together some great tips on keeping your fitness levels up without having to pay out and that will also boost those feel good endorphins.

  • Get outside. It might be cold, it might be icy, but wrap up warm and go for a walk, whether it's around the block or through the park. This can be on a lunch break or in the evening, but if it is during the dark hours take a torch and let people know where you are going. If you do this on a regular basis and quicken the pace, you will return home feeling a lot more motivated.
  • Free Fitness. There is so much you can do without having to pay for a gym membership. Jogging is a great free way of upping your fitness levels. Start small and slow, every time you go out set goals, so run to the end of the road, then beyond that, then to the shop. It's amazing how quickly you will notice your fitness levels rise as well as your stamina.
  • Use implements at home. There are lots of weights and tools lying around at home that you could create your own home gym with. Cans of beans and stretchy chord can make the perfect weights and resistance bands to build those muscles.

Exercise is proven to make people feel a lot happier, so even if it's a simple walk, get outside and get going!
